Good Fit
This valve cover gasket and spark plug tube grommets for my 5S-FE Toyota engine works great. It fixed the leaks in my spark plug tubes which is why I bought it. Originally the rubber grommets looked a little big, but later I realized they were supposed to be that way for a tighter fit.

They Fit, But Fall Out Too Easily When Installing
The Fel-Pro Valve Cover Set provides a substantial savings over the dealer parts department cost for a Mitsubishi Diamante. They seemed to be of good quality. The only problem I had was that the valve cover gasket fits a bit too loosely in the valve cover groove, so when I turned the valve cover over to install it, parts of the gasket would fall out of the groove. I finally had to use a tiny bit of silicone gasket material to hold the gasket in place and work quickly to invert the cover before the gasket pulled free. Once the gasket is installed and the cover properly torqued, the gasket swells out to fill the groove. The problem seems to be related to the slipperiness of the material. I don't recall having such problems with the original Mitsubishi gaskets, but they now cost three times as much. Top to learn more
Your new valve cover gaskets You should go ahead and buy an "Intake Gasket Set" (about $20) This will give you gaskets for your upper intake manifold, EGR gasket, and your valve cover gaskets as well Shop Towels / Rags (Always good to have)... While you have the EGR removed you should scrape off the old gasket and replace it with a new one. First thing you need to do is make sure you lay some shop towels/rags around the valve just in case fuel sprays out. When you pull up on the fuel rail the injectors will come with it. Be careful but keep in mind that it takes a good deal of effort to pull the injectors out. To release the fuel pressure in the system you need to depress the "Schrader" valve. Alternately if you cant unscrew it or cant find it, you can take the clamp off the lower radiator hose and drain it from there. Now take the cap off the valve and you will see a little stem in the middle. Place your drain pan below this, unscrew the plug and let it drain. You need to remove the rear alternator brace and the EGR hose that attaches to the air intake. Now remove both of the bolts holding down the fuel rail.
However if you have the spark plug design that sit down through your valve cover make sure to get spark plug tube seals with the valve cover gasket set. Just drain the oil first, unbolt all the bolts, clean both engine surface and oil pan surface of all gasket material, using a good cleaner to get all oil off these surfaces is a good idea, and check pan for any debris. You’ll need the right sockets, gasket set, gasket scraper or razor blade, and some RTV (gasket adhesive to keep the gasket in place while installing oil pan). Start preparing pan for installation by running a small bead of RTV around the gasket surface and let it sit and get tacky for about 2-4 minutes then put the gasket in place over the RTV. - Valve cover and oil pan gaskets will solve the problem. The valve cover gasket(s) will be the same. Once again, the gaskets in VW/Audi engines will last forever, since they are a special rubber composite material. The gaskets in your engine should NEVER wear out. These oils will wash things down inside as you drive, and restore proper oil pressure.
