You Need This To Properly Set The TV Cable On A 700R4
I bought this gauge because is was the best price for this model gauge on the 'net.It came with many adapter fittings, which made it easy to connect to my transmission to check for proper pressure to set the TV cable. I would recommend this gauge. It has a 0 - 300 psi dial. The most pressure I applied was about 175 psi and gauge did not leak. I wont use this gauge much, but it will be useful for transmission diagnostic oil pressure testing. Top to learn more

It works...
I'm not saying I don't like it or that it's not useful... It's just hard to differentiate between 0 psi and maybe 7 psi at idle. While cold at idle it's slightly over 50 psi & hot at idle my truck shows about 8 psi, had to get my eyeball in there and watch as I turned the engine off and see how much it dropped. My car on the other hand doesn't seem to go below 25 even when I'm under-revving the engine in first to nearly stalling it & at 75 mph the gauge shows about 65 psi, so no worries there. V6 and up engines tend to have lower idle pressure, if you have a larger engine you might consider a more accurate gauge in the lower pressures, or a wider sweep. I just didn't want to go down the highway at 7 psi (right about where the "too-late light" comes on) so it's good enough for me.

Good economical oil pressure gauge. No issues installing. As with any gauge the sensor and the gauge must be properly grounded to ensure proper operation. The oil pressure gauge sensor always presents a unique challenge since you don't want oil leaks at the sensor and a sealant is a must. It would be nice if Sunpro and other oil pressure gauge manufacturers would provide a separate ground line or a piercing hose/band clamp to properly ground the sensor. I made a piercing hose/band clamp from an old stainless steel band clamp, small nuts, and a sharpened bolt. Final issue: I was unable to find less than a 0-100 psi electric oil pressure gauge. It would be nice if Sunpro and other manufacturers would consider making a 0-60 psi or 0-70 psi gauge since all the vehicles I have owned over the past 30+ years have not had an oil pump that produced over 55 psi, even when the oil is cold, and normal operation is in the 30-40+ psi range. GREAT BUY
I bought the Sunpro CP8216 mechanical oil pressure gauge and the Sunpro CP8215 voltmeter along with the Sunpro CP7551 2 gauge pod. I was dubious because of the extremely low price of the items. I've had them in my classic Mustang for over a year already and they are GREAT!!!! No problems and no regrets! I could spend many times what I did for these, but I couldn't get any better results than these gauges give me. I recommend them to anyone! Top to learn more

An accurate gauge that works great for a low price!
This is the gauge that I use for diagnosing engines - only gets hooked up temporarily and strapped to the windshield wipers for a quick cruise to see what the oil pressure ACTUALLY is before deciding if an engine needs a full rebuild or not. Works great and it would be a good gauge to install permanently - I would get a copper pressure line for that use, though. Top to learn more

The reason for the 5-star review is due to the fact that it is a great gauge. I won't fault Amazon for an improper picture.The item recieved doesn't look like the picture. I know, I know, in the description it states 0-100psi not the 0-150 shown, but I was hoping that the gauge would have been the new style of ultra-lite with the white face gauge.
