Best I could find
I just started doing oil changes on our family cars and I was trying to find a decent oil drain pan that could hold a lot of fluid and be easy to drain out.This thing is so big that I don't even have to move it closer to the drain plug when changing the oil, I think it's the perfect size and I'll be using it for all the fluid changes we have to do.And for pouring it out I found it was quite easy and never had anything spill yet, I found a big bottle of Tide from Costco where this drain pan spout actually fit inside of the tide bottle so there was zero chance of spilling. holds ~170oz which is more than 5 quarts.

Best Oil Pan I've Found
I do oil changes for nearly half a dozen vehicles on a 3,000 mile/3 month oil change interval. I've owned almost as many oil pans that i've picked up from random stores when I finally got tired of the major flaw(s) of my current pan. Until recently, I've had most of those pans sitting in my garage thinking that I would ultimately choose one of them as my favorite or at least the lesser of evils, but they just kept sitting there. Recently, I got tired of having so many oil pans and not even appreciating one of them fully, so I went on the hunt for the perfect oil pan.It ultimately came down to two pans: This pan and one sold at an automotive store that looked similar but was a different brand. The problem was that the one at the automotive store was only $8 while this one was $20. Excellent - no more sloshing spills
I used to use a cut-off barrel bottom to drain oil. When I moved it, usually some of the oil would slosh out onto the garage floor or my pants and shoes. This pan has a large inwards-facing lip which stops that problem quite well. The handles make carrying the full pan easy and secure, and are even comfortable to the hand. The ease of pouring the oil out through the drain is a plus also. Well designed, sturdily made. I love it.

Great for motorcycles
I purchased this to change the oil in my BMW R1200RT. There is plenty of clearance between the drain pan and the drain plug/oil filter. Well built pan with opening at the very top so that oil does not leak out when you set it up on it's end.

Sturdier than the competish
I bought this because I learned that Blitz products were failing me over and over. I'm impressed at the threading for the small cap - it's like thick, cast plastic. The cap screws on tight and feels like it will last.It's also nice that the handle for carrying this is on the same end as the cap for pouring. You can trust that this won't spill while carrying it.My only complaint is how small the funnel is. Some cars spill oil over a large area when removing the oil filter. It could be a challenge to catch all that oil with the funnel that comes with this oil pan.However, this seems like a much higher-quality product than the likes I've had from Blitz.

Does what it was designed to do!
This product works well. It has a low clearance to fit underneath many vehicles. The built in funnel keeps oil off your garage floor or driveway. Holds all the oil for most mid-sized or smaller cars or small SUV's (which is what I have). You can store it sitting up or laying down and either way, the cap sits at the top...so even if it's not a total seal, you won't end up leaking oil all over the place unknowingly. I like this product.

Not bad, but do yourself a favor...
This item does what is intended and does it well. BUT...make sure you have plumbers tape on hand and apply it to both the small and large opening threads. It leaks without...just enough to annoy you, not a garage ruin-er.Just tape it...you'll be happier.

Not bad
Just as some other reviews have said this product will leak unless you put some plumbers tape. Once you do however its works as intended. I would not consider this product to be "heavy duty" but it gets the job done.

Held a lot, but spilled some
There's not much you can say about its main use: it holds liquids just fine.BUT, the spout is not that well formed, and I spilled some amount of gas when transferring it to the gas can. I'm not a bad pourer either.

Does The Job
Not much special to say about this except that it holds enough oil to satisfy a full oil change on the majority of cars out there. The only thing I do not like about the pan is that there is no easy to pour spout, so you do need to be aware when emptying the pan into a container. None-the-less, it is an inexpensive, yet valuable tool for DIY'ers out there looking to save money on oil changes.

A little smaller than I expected, but did the job very well. collected oil and did not spill. It had enough capacity to collect all of my oil on a slanted street side without spilling over. I only paid a couple dollars for it tho. (got me to the free shipping point.

Is it 7.5 qt?
Obviously, it can hold 7.5 qt but if your car holds ~5.5qt of oil I would opt for something larger. My cars hold ~5qt and it gets full quickly, to the point that its tough to not have an exxon valdez moment on the floor of your garage. For smaller capacity cars this is great. Anything engine with bigger than ~5qt of capacity I would opt for something larger so its easier to handle when full.
