Can't beat is for the money and saved transmission!
Well I did alot of shopping before deciding to buy this cooler from Amazon. One major consideration was price of course. You can't get it any cheaper anywhere!! Trust me I have checked. Also this one fits perfect for my 2002 Honda Odyssey which is prone to have transmission failure and did at 84,000 miles and now have 101,000 and I just bought it so I want to last a very long time. After installing it inconjunction with my flushed oem cooler I noticed that the line temperature was much cooler after driving than without the cooler. So that alone will help save the transmission. The kit was complete for my setup and was very easy to install.I decided to spray mine lightly with flat black paint so that it does not showup through the bumper.I am a BMW master technician and I would for sure recommend this cooler for its build quality, function, and price.

Excellent fluid cooler
This fluid cooler replaced a liquid-to-liquid power steering cooler on my SCCA competition car that kept melting down power steering racks and pumps. The power steering pump now runs cooler and doesn't fail due to the use of the Hayden 402 fluid-to-air cooler. This item installed in about 30 minutes by extending the old cooler lines and mounting the cooler in a well-ventilated area. I used the supplied piece of extension hose and the special zip-ties in the kit.My only complaint is that the kit lacks hose extension barbs and/or hose clamps. In many cases, and mine in particular, my fluid hoses had to be extended to reach where the new cooler was mounted. Adding these items to the kit would be very helpful, otherwise you've got to stop at your local hardware store. I'm giving it four stars for this, because you can't really install the cooler w/o these items.Otherwise, it is excellent, looks good and out-performs the factory cooler by leaps and bounds.

B&M 70268 Supercooler Review
The B&M supercooler is worth the extra bucks over a cheaper version. I have another Jeep with a cheaper cooler that works fine but isn't built nearly as solid as the B&M. This thing looks bullet proof. I like the plate design which allows for mounting using the plastic straps through the radiator or if you want to build a mounting bracket there are holds and supplied bolts to do that. I like the low-pressure drop design as well which allows cold fluid to by-pass the cooler so that the tranny fluid isn't over cooled in the winter months. The install took about 2 hours but I'm very careful with what I cut and where I mount it. The 4 feet of transmission hose that comes with the cooler was enough for me but that is mostly due to the way I mounted it. Mounting it in a different location would require more hose so I recommend that before you take too much apart you consider the location. Transmission hose can be purchased for a few cents a foot at an auto parts... Top to learn more
Adding this B&M SuperCooler keeps the ATF and transmission cooler, and keeping a vehicle's transmission cool is essential for dependability, especially in performance applications. The unit is designed to be very efficient for its size and weight, to cool much better than an ordinary 'fin and tube' cooler, and to reduce the risk of lube system failure. Using fluxless, oven brazed construction for vibration resistance, it is built out of lightweight aluminum alloy and features a revolutionary 'stacked plate' design with multiple oil flow paths. The unit monitors resistance to flow by allowing a controlled amount of ATF to pass through a self-regulating orifice. Controlled by viscosity, thicker ATF is returned directly to lube through two bypass openings in the stacked plate core, while thinner ATF is directed through the core to cool as operating temperatures increase. Easy to install, effective
This cooler does what's expected of one, I guess... not much to say about it.It comes with 2 sizes of brass NPT fittings to interface with your existing factory cooler, if equipped. Supposedly there is an orifice bypass which serves to prevent overcooling, I guess that's cool except if you live in Arizona where overcooling doesn't really happen and instead you'd rather have all the flow you can get.In case anyone wants a reference of functionality, I have a 2001 S10 4x4 with 4.3L engine & 4L60E transmission. On 110 degree days at 75mph my transmission used to run 240F, now with this cooler it runs about 205-210F under those conditions. Top to learn more
Good cooler, Wrong connections
Good CoolerI suppose in order to understand how I gauge this cooler to be effective a little background info would be good. I have a 96 Dodge Ram 1500 RWD. This model and similar models of the same period are well known for having transmission failures due to excessive heat as the built in radiator cooler was not sufficient.Prior to installing the cooler I installed a B&M Temperature Gauge kit on the pressure line coming out of the tranny, that way I have a better Idea of the actual transmission temp than if it were installed on the return line as the instructions indicate. The next day I decided put my truck through its paces to see what the temps would be, at 4:00 in the afternoon it was 86 degrees and traffic is fairly heavy during that time of day. Inner city driving for about 45 minutes showed that the temperature would be about 240. Taking it out on the highway at 70mph dropped the temp to about to 220 on long flat stretches.About a week later... Top to learn more

Keeping it cool
Installed on a 2000 Astro after a transmission rebuild. I load up my van quite a bit. Held temperatures from 115 to 150 f in sunny s. cali. AC on. Do not believe the tranny will overheat in these conditons. Great product. ***caution***don't stare at it too long, hypnotizing! Nicely constructed cooler. Top to learn more

5 stars as a trans cooler. 2 stars as an oil cooler.
This cooler is very weak. It is made of a thin soft unspecified grade of Mexican aluminum. This is OK when used with small flexible hoses normally used in the average trans cooler application. I have used several for this purpose. However, when used as an oil cooler with lines to match the 1/2 pipe ports, the hoses can put too much stress on the bosses and the thin thin thin lower plate they are mounted on. You need some sort of support to take any stress off of the bosses. It would be best to start out with the most flexible lines you can find from your hose store. Some industrial hoses are already too stiff. As the larger hoses age and suffer from heat, they will get stiffer and vibration alone will cause them to stress the thin Mexican aluminum they now use. They should have made it thick enough to take the forces imposed on it by typical engine oil cooler lines. Say, dash 10s or dash 12s. Of course, if you use slip-on and clamped hoses, they are more flexible, and are... Top to learn more

Im hoping the new aluminum cooler will let me climb steadily without having to level off and cool the oil in the summer and being closer to the engine will keep the oil warmer in the winter. I liked the idea of the baffle mount for my plane as during the summer the factory cooler couldnt keep up on hot days and in winter id have to tape significant sections of the cooler off. a wingtip mod, the aforementioned baffle mounted oil cooler, and some other things.
