Big, Thick Waffles
After our cheap Toastmaster waffle maker lost its nonstick properties and was dismissed to appliance heaven, I resolved to buy the best waffle maker I could find regardless of price. Fun Time Breakfast
We have owned this waffle maker for two months. While it's not perfect, we really enjoy using it. You can't always trust in the "Ready" light to tell if the waffle is done. We just wait until the waffle stops steaming. With a whole-grain recipe it might take up to 6 minutes per waffle. The non-stick coating is a little fragile, and has chipped a little. We apply oil with a silicone brush to prevent sticking. We have tried to be careful getting the waffles out. We like the rotating feature which distributes the batter. There is enough space between the grids which make the machine easy to clean up. Even if the batter overflows it is easy to clean (it has a drip plate).
