It seems like the ECU would be able to run more at sea-level pressures if there were more spare pressure like the small pulley provides. So in again with the pulley, I got an ice pack and put it on the shaft, and tried again when the pulley hit 368-370. I was also wondering, if the engine ever uses all of the pressure that the supercharger provides (if there's a point in the RPM range where there's no excess), then it seems that the smaller pulley would actually help us at altitide somewhat. ) By far the hardest part was getting the pulley on. I had it in a roaster right next to the car. I messed up the finish on the pulley a bit in the process, hopefully it's just an aesthetic. I took the temp with a laser temp gun, and it was at 352 degrees. So I popped it in for another 10 minutes, cranked the temp up, took the temperature at 360 degrees F, tried again, same thing. It took me a few minutes to find the 10mm bolts under the fender linings, as well as the radiator bolts (they look like they're actually holding the bumper on, so I dismissed them at first glance.
By Accident lost a pulley bolt while changing pulleys and had to get a new one. Overall I am very happy with this 08-09 audi tt light weigt crank pulley and idea the can charge was affordable.
