I installed this on my 2001 S4 using a write-up from an enthusiast forum, as this product does not include any sort of instructions. You'll either need a service manual and special tools, or a similar write-up. This is the second kit I've installed, one each on driver's and passenger's side, and they wear well (5 years and counting between replacements). Strangely, this particular manufacturer was hard to find, but I preferred it over other brands.

Works great
I bought this tool to separate some ball joints in order to install new springs and shocks on my vw. It worked great and separated the ball joints with very little effort. The tool was well worth the price I paid because I saved a $700.00 in labor charges by installing my springs and shocks myself.

I had purchased a cheap CV Boot Clamp Plier along with this one.The cheap one broke after about 6 uses but this one is excellent and will allow you to properly use torque wrenches with it, if you desire.Definitely buy this one, you won't regret it!thanks for reading this review!

Good value, uncompromised quality
These are extremely good pliers for crimping the Oeticker type clamps prevalent in many modern automotive uses (notably CV joint and steering rack boots). They are VERY heavy duty, and should stand up to many years of use without problems.
