Best and most cost-effective product of its type
Short version:Among all fuel system cleaners I'm aware of, Redline SI-1 contains the highest quantity per dollar (based on manufacturer MSDS) of the critical fuel-system-cleaning compounds known as polyether amines (PEA). Primarily for this reason I believe SI-1 to be the best available and most cost-effective fuel system cleaner product at retail pricing. [...].In my case it has not been necessary to use Redline's recommended quantity of approximately 3 oz per fill-up. The effects of 1 oz per fill-up are indistinguishable in terms of tested results (see my basis for this statement below). This results in an approximate cost of $0.35/tank or less than a tenth of a penny per mile. A full case at this usage rate is enough to treat 180 full tanks of fuel or to last approximately 80,000 miles. (Figures based 15gal/tank, 25-35mpg).Long version:As far as I know, every effective fuel system cleaner on the market uses a class of compounds known...

Raised my gas mileage 3-4 points
My '06 Civic SI has about 40,000 miles on it. It had been getting around 22 mpg (mostly city driving) but even with long distance freeway driving (around 75mph) I'd only get about 23 mpg. I usually use Chevron or Shell gas. I also have used Techron fuel cleaner in the past with no results. So I used Red Line SI-1 a few tanks ago, and my gas mileage has increased to about 26 mpg for my last few tanks. Right now I'm at 318 miles on one tank of gas, and i have one bar left on my fuel gauge (it's digital). Prior to the Red Line the best I'd ever gotten was 312 on one tank of gas, and that was after driving the ENTIRE tank on the freeway, and driving 10 miles with no bars left on the fuel gauge. Typically I would get 250-270 miles on one tank.I'm stoked!I will admit that using this stuff ain't going to do anything to help you if your injectors aren't clogged... but if you suspect they are, this is the fuel cleaner to get!

I Trust It
I belong to an online forum of Colorado owners (coloradofans.com) and created a poll to see which fuel system cleaner the members liked best. This one did very well, so I tried it and I like the results. I have poured a bottle in the tank prior to every oil change recently.I also like Techron, because it seems to give me a smoother idle over each tank of gas. Redline seems to bring out the raw power of my engine though.I am not a mechanic, but it seems to work for me.

Good fit for my 2004 Volvo S60 AWD 2.5L
For over a year I was dealing with "Check Engine" lights having to do with a large emission leak. I originally changed the gas cap with the Volvo OEM cap at twice the price thinking this would solve the trick. Nope. After a year and a half of erasing engine codes with my reader from a gas cap that could not create a good seal I decided to try this Stant cap. It has worked so well over the past few months that I bought an extra because I am concerned about losing it (there is no leash like on the OEM cap.A great buy that solved my "Check Engine" light problem. I'm a happy camper :) Top to learn more

Replacement fuel cap
I purchased my first replacement fuel cap from a local auto store who promised it was the right one. The dealer wanted about a 100 bucks for a new original one. I found out 30 odd days later my bargain nine dollar fuel cap was not oxygenated i.e. a requirement for a Volvo. I did some online research (something i should have done in the first place) and found the Stant fuel cap was a legitimate replacement. So I bought the Stant oxygenated fuel cap, and my fuel light no longer comes on. I checked my fuel system out at the dealer and no problems. The Stant was significantly cheaper than the dealer cap and to my surprise cheaper than the bargain fuel cap. I have had NO PROBLEMS with my fuel light coming on and it's been over 60 days. The only thing is I wish the Stant came with is the attachment chain to the car. Other than that, I think I made a good deal. Another thing, none of the car auto shops (including all the big names) carry this particular fuel cap. I called them all and they... Top to learn more

Replacing an old, leaky or missing gas cap will save as much as a gallon of gas every 15 days and can pay for itself in less than three months. Stant gas caps are OE style and meet or exceed all original equipment performance and safety standards. A gas/fuel cap performs three very important functions; safety of the vehicle's occupants, fuel economy and reduce emissions. Safety: Without a fuel cap, gasoline vapors will be present around your car at all times. Those vapors can be ignited by a random spark or flame and are very dangerous if you are involved in an accident or rollover. Fuel Economy: According to Sun Oil Company research, a vehicle with a missing or inoperative fuel cap will allow 176 pounds (22 gallons) of gasoline to evaporate over the period of one year. Emissions: Gasoline vapors emit hydrocarbons which dissolve the earth's ozone layer and cause smog. Top to learn more

Other than a smaller then optimal trunk space, it was a pleasure to drive and a breeze to fill the tank at a public station. Yesterday we gave you a look at the new Focus Electric, today it’s another new Ford. Versions of the 2013 Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra 2500 HD, which can run on both compressed natural gas and gasoline, will cost $11,000 over the price of a conventionally powered truck. The base price of the Ford Focus Electric is just about $40,000 before the tax incentives kick in to knock the price down. General Motors announced pricing for its new bi-fuel trucks and they ain’t cheap. Natural gas prices are the lowest prices today than they have been in more than a decade. 2013 FORD ESCAPE Another day, another new-car launch. Speaking at a green conference in California, he said the 23 kilowatt-hour packs cost between $12,000 and $15,000. We ought to have a whole new flock of nat-gas vehicles hitting the market in the next decade, but we don’t. According to Autoblog – a fine member of the AOL family – Ford’s design honcho J Mays said not every new Lincoln will necessarily share the MKZ’s face. And never mind bi-fuel drivetrains. LINCOLN STYLING The new Lincoln MKZ is pretty polarizing.

Audi's A8 gets the engine it deserves
