Excellent lighting, fair quality construction, great value for money.
I installed these lights on a Saab 900SE next to a set of KC Pencil Beam driving lights. While they are not the quality of the KC lights, they are nevertheless reasonable quality and VERY good value for the money.Install was typical - no easier or harder than installing any other brand.Light output with 55 watt bulbs is EXCELLENT with a TIGHT, LONG RANGE BEAM. Not quite as focused as the KCs - but there isn't much in it -- and the light output seems as bright as the KCs with 100 watt bulbs.Because the housing is plastic I have not run the Hella's with 100 watt or 130 watt bulbs, I may give it a try during the winter.For me the wiring harness was a little light -- especially since I commonly use 100 watts bulbs, but so long as you use a relay to switch the lights and keep the runs short it will be more than adequate - but I'm an "overkill" type when it comes to wiring so I replaced the harnesses with #12 Tefzel (aircraft) wire for each...

HELLA 500 FF Driving Lights - Very Nice
Ok, the 500FF driving lights are a good design in how it projects the light in front of the vehicle. I have been driving with Hellas in both my cars and 4x4s since 1985. They make damn good driving lights both on and off-road. I say that the 500s in stock form do a nice job in the city. However, if you do any off-roading and these are the only auxilary lights you have then I would recommend upgrading the bulbs to a 100W or 130W. Of course the modification will make them unusable in city driving.Personally I have adopted these as fog lights with crystal ion fog bulbs from PIAA. The PIAA bulbs and Hella 500s are a perfect match and work great in snow and dense fog. I don't like the conventional fog lights because the light pattern spreads too much light above the hood which is not needed.I have a FJ Cruiser with a grill guard where these puppies are mounted on the lower crossmember close to the ground. great lights great price!
I bought these to replace the factory fog lamps on my wifes 2004 Subaru Forester, which were trashed from 130K of hard use. Had to do some "creative engineering" to get them to fit into the holes in the front bumper but they came out great! The wiring instructions are a little bit hard to follow and mt lights didn't include them in the package (downloaded the PDF [...]) Once I puzzled them out the wiring harness is well thought out and made installing the light pretty bomb-proof. I highly recommend these for daily, on-road use.

Excellent DRLs
I just purchased a 2012 Ford Focus and wanted to enhance the look of the front end with super brite LED DRLs but was not willing to compromise by giving my brand new car a 'boy racer' aftermarket appearance. After much planning for placement, measuring for fit and research I took a gamble and decided on this set of lights for my project.The result is a perfect fit for the space I designated for installation and even the shape/styling the LED housing itself is a perfect match for the front facia on the 2012 Focus (will post pics). As to the LEDs themselves they are super bright and fully visible in broad daylight. Other than the fact they are not integrated into the headlight housing, they look every bit as good as the factory installed lights out there (Mercedes, BMW, Audi).I don't know what the fitment would be for other vehicles but without having a factory option, I don't feel there is a better option for my car. Super bright DLR
At first I though these didn't work. I carefully wired the red wire to the positive on the battery, the black wire to sheet metal of the engine bay and the white wire to the running lights. The lights didn't work. As a last attempt I reversed the red and black and sure enough they illuminated. touching the white wire to the positive shut them off. I ended up just hooking the red wire to ground and tapped the black wire into the running lights. It seems to work fine this way.Time will tell how long all 10 LED lights will run. For now they are incredibly bright. The light is a nice white and not too blue. The housing is made really well of metal. I believe the lenses are glass. The wire harness is put together nicely too.I would have given this 5 stars except for the wiring issue. Hopefully this is due to my lack of understanding how I should have wired them and not wire colors. Top to learn more

Way overpriced for auto parts flash
Please do your research, these are NOT DRL's, they are simply surface mount led strips that you can buy considerably cheaper in many online venues. They are not DRL's, they often come with the sealant applied wrong which means they'll fry at the first sign of water and they are just basic decoration. If done right, they do look good, but for this price they should install themselves considering you can get the same exact product without the rebranding for less than half this price. They all buy they're stock from assembly line Chinese distributors and just call them whatever they want to. Look around, save money, and if you them on the exterior, make sure you seal them well.UPDATE: Changing to 4 stars because I've now had the chance to compare these to 4 different "parts house" led strips and these are clearly better. My 2000 Acura TL looks even better with these LED DRLs. So easy to install. Installed on the bottom of my headlights, used the whole strip. Connection wire went through where the hood meets the headlight in the center. Went to Radio Shack to buy the "M" style staple-like connector to connect to my amber parking lights. My only mistake was I installed them upsidedown. It's hard to tell which way is up. They still look great! Call their customer service hotline for help. They were very helpful. Top to learn more
