Easy to install, works great.
Didn't take long to install on my VW Jetta GLI. Works great, sounds awesome. Not 100% sure it's worth all the money but I've only had it a week. Definite increase in power. Gas mileage seems to be a bit better but not really noticeable.

Cold air intaking
Was hardest to take large plastic cow off than to install this product with has increased my gas milage by about 4% as long as I keep my foot off the pedal!!!!!

K&N Performance Intake Kit
I already had a K&N filter in my factory airbox in my 2008 Volkswagen GTI. I bought the "filter on a stick" to see if it could make any additional gains. It seems to pull a bit harder, but for a chipped K03 turbo putting a K&N panel filter in the factory airbox gets you 95% of the gains, with less noise. The K&N is well made though, and if gotta have one this is a fine choice, especially for Amazon's price. I suspect this is a more worthwhile part if you are running a bigger turbo, like a K04 or a Garrett.

K&N Typhoon Air Intake
Product was as described and was shipped in a timely manner. The K&N instructions were incorrect for my vehicle application: Audi A3. Once the assembled product would not fit properly I used the other part that was supplied for the VW application and it worked. Product works great, no lag in any of the gears. To early to determine if gas mileage will be affected.

Nothing beats a free breathing RX8!!!
I bought the K&N cold air intake for my 2004 Mazda Rx8 (AUTO).... what can I say? I love this product. The cold air intake is not to hard to install, need a ratchet, screw driver, pliers, thats about it. Took me about 60 minutes to install, another half hour to road test and recheck everything. Overall, the cold air intake definately adds a little low end oomph, car felt a little punchier off the line, but I am not really trying to win any races, I just love the sound of a free breathing engine. K&N would have you believe that this cold air intake will add a bunch of HP... I don't know about that. But it does make your car sound awesome! And loud, at higher RPM. So expect to hear your RX8 like never before, it is a fantastic sound! May be a little annoying to the neighbors, but the nice thing is that at low RPMS, the car remains mostly silent. But as soon as you begin accelerating, especially over 3500RPM, sounds like you're driving a formula one car... minus the...

Sounds great, improves performance?
Was easy to install in my '04 RX8, fits good (had to make minor adjustments so that the engine cover would fit) it sounds really cool, but sometimes too loud at higher revs..... feel like i lost a bit of low end torque on my rx8 compared to the stock air intake, but haven't felt any increase of power so far. Get this if you want some extra sound wont do much on performance side.

Great kit
I've been using it for years on auto filters as well as my motorcycle which has an OEM non-disposable filter. It takes very little spray and will last forever. The cleaning process is simple and only takes a few minutes. The kit costs less than most replacements so it should be an easy decision for any reusable filter, even if it's not a K&N.

A Smart Buy from Novice to Expert
Though I am frugal, I am aware of the many factors that must be considered in the balance of living well and affordable. I must say that the K&N air filter (not included) and recharger kit (listed here) is an easy, affordable, and effective combination of product that is well worth the buy and the time. All you do to "recharge" is liberally spray the cleaner (in spray bottle) onto both sides of the filter, let sit for ten minutes to break down the grime, let the ~natural flow~ of water (not pressurized by a nozzle) run through the inside (cleaner side) of the air filter to flush the grime out of the other side (repeat if really dirty [doesn't usually need more than once for me and I change it every 6,000-10,000 miles]), and let dry (I shake it out and then let it sit in the sun to make it dry in ten to fifteen minutes). Then, liberally spray the oil (in the aerosol can) onto the outside (the once dirty side), and let sit for about five minutes to allow for the oil to absorb. Check...

A bit expensive, but this item is great at doing the job it is meant to do. Always cleans and re-oils the filter without issues. Make sure to get the aerosol oil rather than the squeeze.
